Planning a wedding is such a fun, exciting time in a couple’s life.  Looking for a wedding gown, a beautiful cake, and thinking of a theme for a wedding can make any person giddy.  But it can also be stressful since it is such a huge milestone, especially when it comes down to the little details that can often be forgotten.  This is why I highly suggest considering a wedding coordinator or planner, especially if you are a destination bride!  Here are some points to consider if you are thinking of hiring someone to help plan your special day.

  • Stress management.  A wedding coordinator is someone who has dealt with all types of weddings, and they keep everything running smoothly.  They know how to handle any problems that may arise during the planning, or day of the event.
  • Budget.  Wedding coordinators can help a couple stay within their budget, especially when it comes down to negotiating with different vendors, such as a florist and a caterer.
  • Vendor sourcing.  They work with all types of people in the wedding business- caterers, DJ’s, Hotels, etc, and can give you solid advice based on your wants and needs.
  • Organization and Scheduling.  On your wedding day, there are so many things going on that it is hard for a bride and groom to take on.  Things can get chaotic- a florist may arrive late, nobody knows where the officiant is, and the photographer may be running around wondering where to go or what needs to be photographed.  Wedding planners help everything and everyone running smoothly, so that the bride doesn’t have to worry.
