What camera setup do you use?
I use professional Canon camera bodies, lenses, and lighting equipment, and always bring backup gear to every wedding and session. Having backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, and flashes ensures that your memories are protected no matter what happens. Here’s a breakdown of the Gear I Use.
Will you be the person photographing my wedding/portraits/dance session?
Yes! I am there! I will also have an assistant/2nd photographer with me as well for weddings more than 4 hours. In the extremely rare event that an emergency prevents me from photographing your wedding, I have trusted photographers on my team who can step in. Fortunately, that situation has never happened.
How long will it take to receive my photos? Will they be viewable online?
Yes! Your photos will be delivered through a private online gallery that you can easily share with family and friends. You’ll be able to view, download, and order prints directly from your gallery.
Wedding galleries are typically delivered within 6–8 weeks. Portrait, family, and dance sessions are usually delivered sooner, often within 2–3 weeks. For weddings, I also provide your high-resolution images on a USB drive as an additional backup. My goal is to carefully edit each image while delivering your memories as quickly as possible.

How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings throughout Hawaii since 2008. Each wedding is unique, and I still love capturing the emotions, relationships, and moments that make every celebration special.
Is it okay if other people take photos while you’re taking photos?
Family and guests can take photos as well. No other ‘hired photographers’ because they can get in the way of us getting our shot that we need for you (first kiss, ceremony walk, etc). Hiring another photographer is also a breach of contract.
If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay? Is there an additional charge?
My packages go by the hour, so choose the package that fits best for your wedding day. If you need to add an additional hour, try to do so before the wedding day. If you decide you need me to stay longer on the day of the wedding, then the rate is $450. If you add on an additional hour on the day of your wedding it’s $600.
How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due? Do you offer a payment plan?
50% of the package is due to confirm your wedding date. The balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. We can set up a payment plan in between that if needed.
Do you do videography?
No I don’t, but I work with a lot of amazing videographers that I can refer you to.
We are awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera, will that be a problem?
No of course not! Perfectly normal to feel that way! Even I feel it. If you’re nervous I will definitely help you with poses and make you feel at ease. I will pay attention to detail, fix hair if out of place, fix a veil, poof your dress, help straighten your posture. I think it helps when we get to know you and your groom first. So it helps for us to start from getting ready, or even engagement session.
Do you provide retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?
I do retouching, color retouching, cropping, some blemish removal. Any additional retouching (removing a background, switching people, facial retouching on every photo) require an additional fee. My photos are more natural, so it’s ‘you’ on your wedding day.
What time will you arrive at the site and for how long will you shoot?
I usually arrive a little early to set up and scout the area, find where the best lighting is, etc. As for how long that depends on which package your choose and when you need us to start. I can help you with that if you need.
Do you photograph families and dancers too?
Absolutely! While weddings are a large part of my business, I also photograph family portraits, senior portraits, and dance photography. As a former dancer myself, I especially love creating images that showcase movement, artistry, and personality.
What happens if it rains?
This is Hawaii—it happens! Some of my favorite images have been created on rainy days. We’ll keep an eye on the weather, adjust plans if needed, and make the most of whatever Mother Nature gives us.
